Summary
Great for closeups, 640X480 perfect for webpage, great NTSC support, Metal Hydride batteries give 50+ shots - do not use previewer. Bought AC adapter $25. Good software. Good Twain driver.
Big-Big problem installing on Windows 98 or XP. Very frustrating ... I can not do it.
Strengths
Point and shoot. Out of focus at distance.
Weaknesses
Very good color balance. Great for close ups - 2 inches to a foot. Very surprized. 4 AA Metal Hydrides batteries can not be beat.
Cannot gt it to work on Windows 98 or XP.

Summary
1. The images are not the best. However, the price is right and the image quality is B- quality. Easily available for around $120 (refurb.) to $170 (new). Compare that to $600+ for the better models, and you have a solution for people who just want to attach a photo now and then to emails for friends & relatives.2. The biggest complaint about this camera is its ravenous use of batteries. For $20/4, get NiMH rechargeables. They give you many more pics per charge, and they recharge many times. Little/no memory effect. The charger is about $20. Don't try to save a couple bucks in the battery department -- get the best charger/batteries.3. For closeups, remember that the lens is quite far to the left of the camera's center.

Summary
The camera is a lot of fun, and the images come up on the computer screen very easily, but the batteries are a real problem. I'm afraid to turn the camera on! Is there a solution to this problem other than to return the camera?

Summary
This camera seems to be ok. It seems however that it uses batteries at a high rate. I have gotten around 12-15 Pictures per battery reload which I find hard to swallow!
