Summary
1.None of the cameras were in sealed boxes, at the store.
2.The clerk knew nothing.
3.The price seemed modest enough, considering I am a novice user.
4.I took it home, read the directions, and installed the drivers.
Sounds simple.

I turned the camera on; set the dial mode to record, as instructed.
The LCD screen showed "blue".
That's it - no icons; no view.
It's sunday so, I have to wait 'til 10:45am est monday, to call customer service.
This camera was mfg. in China.
If this camera isn't up & running by monday night, it's getting returned.
I'll try buying a Kodak next.
