Summary
This is must be the best medium format camera available today, for those who can work with the square format, wich requires a more symmetrical way of working.
Strengths
The light metering system is great... just in case you need it.
There is also a very wide range of razor sharp lenses available, from very fast lenses, like the 2.0/110mm Planar, to the more common ones with build-in leaf/lens shutters for fast flash sync.
Solid construction and light weight in comparasion with the other brands such as Rollei, Mamiya and Fuji.
Weaknesses
The price...
Yes, it is great a great machine but if this camera wasn't handmade in Sweden the price would be much lower.
Don't forget to store this camera wound, otherwise your expensive batteries will be empty at the start of the next shoot, so always travel with a film magazine kept on the body with the magazine slide in his place, so it is too bad that there isn't a lock on the camera itself.

Summary
The 203FE with the 110mm f:2 lens and a pm90 is as good as it gets for people shots outdoors. Used with a reflector for fill in, it's fast, easy and the results are magnificent. Technically, this is as good as it gets for this kind of photography, the only competition to this camera is the same Zeiss 110mm lens on a Rollei.
Strengths
Tough sold construction, able to use any Hasselblad lens back to 1957, and all the accessories from the get-go. All of your old Hasselblad stuff works with it.
Weaknesses
It costs too d*** much. This should be Hasselblads #1 seller, but they've priced it so high you would think they don't want to sell them. There is nothing to complain about it's technical capabilities.

All sorts of stuff over the years.
Customer Service
Over the last 20 years, for me it has been excellent.

Summary
I was a little disapppointed, but am becoming more familiar with it. I am not pleased with Hassy's customer service. Especially after investing the amount of money in their equipment that I have. I believe this will have the rock solid reliability of my other Hassy models, but I probably could have saved myself several thousand dollars if I had just bought another metered prism viewfinder instead. p.s. Chrome body model
Strengths
on board metering. compatability with old accesories. New price point made it worth a try!
Weaknesses
can only use focal plane otf/ttl with a dedicated unit. with a "c" lens, it will not meter in manual mode. you still have to select aperture manually. Does take some getting used to. owners manual is kinda vague

Customer Service
Not great so far. I have emailed them with questions about the viewfinder (I cannot see the metering display unless I use the fine focus screen)four times with no response. Also questions about Metz flash compatability with no response. The only response I did get was to tell me that the 80mm lens I bought to go along with it was NOT eligible for the free film back promotion!!! Wish they had told me that BEFORE so I could have bought different lens!

Summary
Iused this camera under antarctic conditions with no failure except the metering conditions. After getting used to it the battery was put away in a pocket and just taken out for the next shot(the only way to help it). Secondly, the camera was into action in the Namib desert. The grains of sand did not lower the overall work of the camera.Beeing a geologist it is only logical that i keep it till the end.
Strengths
This camera is well built.Especially if one uses it with aPME-like meter it becomes a very fast camera. The fact that allkind of Zeiss lenses may be used makes it a dual system.
Weaknesses
none

Summary
This is not a idle purchase: with the FE lenses, a PM5 or PM45 prism, E-12 and/or E-24, you are well in excess of $10,000.00, even used. However, you DO get what you pay for. There have been a lot of expensive bombs in medium format; this one should be a classic. The fact that you can start with just the body and use all your old lenses and backs actually makes it affordable as a move-up camera. If you have never owned a Hasselblad, you have no business buying one anyway.
Strengths
This should be the flagship of Hasselblad's line, not the 205 which is really for Zone Photographers who carry 7 E-12 magazines. The through the lens metering is fast and accurate. Easy to use CF or C lenses as well and take readings through the lens.
Weaknesses
After 30 years with a mechanical, it's a pain to ensure that you always have an extra battery along in case of failure.
