    Summary
I have been using this camera for almost 5 years now.It will make a 100 mb file in 8 bit mode.It can also capture in 16 bit mode. I have found the camera excellent but slow. I need a lot of light. I shoot with Profoto Tungsten in Chimera Light Banks. I have to always shoot in the 800 asa mode or I will be waiting all day. The unit I have is the Plus unit.

    Strengths
Great sharp Images. I shoot alot of still life and it has never let me down.

    Weaknesses
When shooting you need alot of light.I have never been able to close down to f32 and I have 3 Lights on set at 1000 watts each in Light boxes. Noise is a definate problem when you push the chip in low light. the chip will also bloom highlights meaning a highlight will do really wierd things and smudge a 2 pixel length all the way across the image. They are never upgrading the software for Mac OS X and have not upgraded for about 2 years.

    Customer Service
When I bought it it was great from who I bought it from. But Phase One will always return my call. They did have a upgrade policy that I thought was great. If you buy a Back and then want to upgrade it just pay the difference.Sounds good huh? this is how it worked for me. I wanted to upgrade a back I paid 25000.00 for and 3 years later they came out with a product I wanted I called and they offered me 5000.00 for my unit., and the unit I wanted was 30,000 so I would have to pay 25,000.00 to upgrade.
