Summary
This was given to me as a gift for Christmas. I enjoy taking lots of crazy fun pictures of life. People just being goofy and those little moments that make you go "Awww" or laugh hysterically. My first time using, I did not read the manual and just had a go at it. I quickly was able to navigate the menu and find all my settings and preferences. While I enjoy this camera very much, it does eat through batteries very quickly.

Strengths
Great flash with Red-eye reduction.
Anti-shake setting.
HD Photos.
Able to flip pictures in viewing section.
Easy Navigation (If you know what to look for.)

Weaknesses
Shutter speed.
Does not give view of picture immediately after taking.(Easily fixed by pushing trash button(Right D-Pad), and you can choose Yes or No.)
Does eat through batteries very quickly.

Summary
I bought this for my mom & step father for christmas because they had been wanting a digital camera for so long. My sister was having her first chid in Jan so I though what better to buy them for christmas was a digital camera. I'm thinking what a great price on a camera that originally cost $129.00 I paid $59.99 the day after thanksgiving. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. Every picture that we have of the baby is blurry. You menu is not user friendly at all! I would never buy another Vivitar or ever recommend this type of camera to anyone I know. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA!!!!

Strengths
What strengths? Ha, None!!

Weaknesses
The list is too long to continue.......

Summary
I bought this camera new for my daughter's birthday & I found it quite a handy little tool. Although its plastic feel is a little off putting, the style is not bad. It is a very light camera though not the slimmest on the market but would not cause much if any discomfort while being carried either in a purse or pocket.
Without using the instructions I had a play with the buttons on the rear & very quickly navigated my way around the menu. Then by adjusting a few settings (eg. pic size, light setting & flash) I took a few test pictures in HD. Then to preview my shots all I did was press the circular navigation button >right. (This also asks you if you want to delete the previewed shot & its a simple yes or no). I then connected the USB cable to my computer & gave the pics a view in their full glory both on the monitor & on a 42' HD plasma. I was happy with the result especially considering the low price tag. So in my opinion if you take a little time to familiarize yourself with the menu & its settings you can indeed take an array of impressive shots to capture those precious memories at a very cheap price.

Strengths
Light Weight.
Low price tag.
Good HD pictures.
Good flash (with red-eye reduction)

Weaknesses
Plastic feel (almost toy like)
Cover flap over USB is clumsy & restricting for access (could see this eventually falling off or being pulled off by frustrated owner)
Internet availability is a must to download & use the dedicated picture manager (can take a while if your internet speeds are below 1meg)

Summary
Purchased this camera from Kohls for my son for Christmas. It is made from thin plastic. The batteries last for about 20 pictures. The pictures are poor. The interface is delayed. After a picture is taken there is no way to see if it came out without going thru a complex menu. But otherwise its great. Nancy Regan was right, "Just say no".

Strengths
Inexpensive

Weaknesses
Drains batteries quicker than a flashlight constantly on.
Clumsy interface.
Unable to tell if a picture was made after depressing the shutter release.
