Summary
This camera produced disappointing images. They were unsharp (with or without image stabilization turned on), the colors were inaccurate, and despite efforts to improve things in Photoshop, the pictures remained crappy. At first I thought it was due to the fact that is a tiny camera with a tiny sensor (I was used to using DSLRs). But then the camera was stolen (a fortunate event!), and I replaced it with a Sony DSC-W290, which made MUCH sharper photos with better color reproduction. By comparison, the Canon SD880 is quite poor.
Strengths
Wide angle capability is very useful
Weaknesses
General poor picture quality.
Controls and menu system were IMO counterintuitive
