Summary
What a great product, it has faults but so will most cameras, but as a whole its great for indoor. outdoor and events.

I bought this when i strated uni, just to capture moments i would forget on a night out, and i did just that. it didnt come with a memory card but for £50 i was'nt complaining. i bought a 1gb seperate for a tena.

I took this camera on every night out i have had since september til june (which is every monday, wednesday and thursday from then til now). i have droped it in foam (at a foam party), water (swimming) and have dropped it a million times whilst out partying and it still worked. in short it went through the wars. unlucky for me though when messing around with me mates a fell on the lens bit (that thingy that comes out) bt i had it on capture. So when i fel i fell on the lense and it retracted. Unlucky it was for me that it doesnt work now, but to be fair, it went through alot of parties etc, and i got me money worth out of it.

on the down side, it sometimes freezes now and again but that could be due to what it went through. also as its a Sampsung it is very expensive 2 be repaired. you cant just take it to a store to get it fixed as they cant, they will reccomend sending it to sampsung but they say it could cost from 20-50 pounds.

as for its battery life, if you purchase decent batteries they last a caanny while. e.g. 2 AA Durecell extra last for over 200pictures. i used to take about 100-200 per night out just randon captures most insite a nightclub using the flaash and the batteries would still be half full. just depends on the quality

i wouldnt say it way the best i have used, bt it was well fit for its purpose. its not quite a 5* but it is a 4.5

Strengths
- good quality photos (only ever put them on facebook, never printed them but they are really good quality on facebook)

- good for students or just for leisure

_pretty hard 2 break (read the review you will see)

- good zoom

-easy 2 use (i never read the manual and in a 20mins or so of messing around a got it)

- good screen size, really clear (me sisters got a more expensive camera and her screen is nowhere as good as mine) as it were

-load of features e.g. video, face detection etc

Weaknesses
sampsung is a really difficult manufacturer and expensive in my opinion, so aslong is it doesnt suffer too much damage you'll be OK.

expensive 2 get screen fixed and lense

Summary
A great camera for beginners, and even for people that have experience, but uses way too much battery life, and Face Detection doesn't always work out. With a 2GB SD Card, and with highest quality and lowest size (1024x768), you can take up to 4147 pictures, and with a 320x240 (lowest) video size with 15 FPS, you can take up to 1 hour, 47 minutes, and 6 seconds worth of video (with a formatted SD Card). A very big screen, with good picture quality (looks better on the computer than on the screen), and comes with software, but you can edit videos and pictures with basic software.

Strengths
- Great picture and video quality
- Big Screen
- Pre-loaded effects (b+w, sepia, negative, custom colours, and red, green, or blue tints)
- Manual mode for advanced users
- DIS (Digital Image Stabilization) is included, and works quite good
- Easy to use
- Video with audio recording
- Lightweight

Weaknesses
- Plastic feels quite cheap, and not that scratch resistant
- Uses batteries way too fast
- Freezes quite often

Summary
I was intitially very hesitant about choosing this camera for 2 reasons: 1. At $89.99 (regular price) I did not believe this could be a decent performing camera, 2. Preferred a LI-ion battery. I gave the camera a chance despite its price tag and have been shocked that it was priced so low, making it an amazing value. The S760 performs better than many of the $150 or even $200 cameras I looked at. As for batteries, I'm now actually glad I went with a camera with a AA battery type as it's a better match for my lifestyle. I suppose this could be a con for some though. I'll be purchasing rechargable batteries, so as I see it using AAs is comparable to LI-ion batteries, but the batteries can be found anywhere and are cheaper should your battery die when needed. After picture quality, I was most impressed by the high-res LCD screen-it's beautiful and clear. This camera performed exceptionally well in low light conditions. I've played around with all the features, prgrams, etc, and find everything does what it should and exceptionally well. The self portrait mode is a fun added bonus for getting the perfect picture of yourself. Plus the S760 is very attractive, easy to navigate, and comes in four colours. I bought the pink one because I love pink, but the blue one is a beautiful ice blue. I recommend this camera to any snapshooter. At $90 you're really getting the best quality camera at the lowest price so there is no need to sacrifice. Don't overlook this camera because of its price, but instead take advantage of the seemingly miscalculated MSRP.

Strengths
Excellent picture quality even in low light, high res LCD screen, digital image stabilization, face recognition, self portrait mode, good programs, easy to navigate, records video w/ sound, bonus voice recorder, cute and compact, choice of 4 colours

Weaknesses
Battery type (AA) adds a bit of weight to the 123g camera (still light), plastic construction
