Summary
I was in the market for a newer digital camera. I've been using a off brand digital camera for years and always wanted a good brand name one. So I asked some guys on my chevy forum what would be a good camera for me to get. They said "Just make sure it's a Canon". So I went to my local walmart, and looked at the different models they had. I wasn't looking to drop a ton of money so I started playing around with the cheaper models. I found the A470 to fit my needs. I didn't need 10MP, or a 3" LCD display. Plus the money I saved I used to buy a 8GB SDHC card, and a nice carrying case for it.
Now it's not the thinnest, or sexiest camera on the market, but if you want a good, affordable camera you can't beat it. Plus it comes in 4 different colors. I got the orange model.
Strengths
-Easy to use.
-Great picture quality.
-Good Price.
-Lightweight.
-Nice bright LCD display.
-It's a Canon.
Weaknesses
-No image stabilization.
-Only 7.1MP
-Only 3.4X optical zoom.
-1999 called they want their camera back...
