Summary
Where do I start with this product? It has all the bells and wistles needed by both the casual and professional user. Ease of operation is tremendous!

Strengths
The quality is everything you would expect from JVC and them some. Body is rugged and the clarity of the playback is something you only find in prodcuts 10 times the price.

Weaknesses
No night vision but the low light quality was more than I would have expected.

Summary
Bought Camera in Japan, had to get a photocopy of the english manual in Canada.Otherwise straight forward to use.
After awhile got use to the Japanese labeled buttons. Much cheaper to buy in Japan then Canada, not sure about US.
Paid about $1200US or Y160,000

Strengths
Great quality, camera does what it was suppose to. I do a lot of D/L to my PC via the Firewire connection using Premiere. I just need a better PC or hardware that can do proper editing.

Weaknesses
No night vision, but works really good in low light
